The Governor General's Awards
 in Visual and Media Arts 2006

In March, we celebrated the presentation of the sixth annual Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts, which are funded and administered by the Canada Council for the Arts.  The Canada Council Art Bank is pleased to say that as always, the Art Bank holds artworks by most of the award winners in its collection.

Congratulations to Mowry Baden, Micheline Beauchemin, Vera Frenkel, Peggy Gale, Kenneth Lochhead, Arnaud Maggs and Peter Wintonick.

The National Gallery of Canada is presenting an exhibition of works by the winners until July 3rd, 2006.
